LIVE REVIEW: Y Not? 2018 – Who Was There?

As I sat last Sunday guarded from the relentless elements by my trusty poncho in Y Not’s misty mountain camping field I had an overwhelming sense of a bittersweet redemption story. After the antics of last year led to the festival being cast from popular acclaim and reduced to ridicule our proverbial fallen angel was gifted an opportunity by its loyal fan base to reclaim its previous pedestal. The festival… Keep Reading

The Killers Arrive In Bolton

Brandon Flowers and what can now only be described as an ensemble (nine musicians on stage and only two remaining members of the four piece band that brought us “Hot Fuss”, including Brandon himself) achieved a spectacular feat of showmanship at the Macron Stadium. I never thought I’d type this but in Brandon’s words they brought “fabulous Las Vegas Nevada” with all of its glitter to the streets of Bolton.… Keep Reading

Hollywood Vampires, Manchester Arena

Supergroup is a dirty word and tends to align itself with images of desperate commercial ventures cashing in on previous success and perverting the once untouchable concept of fan loyalty. There were highlights for all as the main stage… Keep Reading

Thursday the 27th of July 2017 was marked into British musical history as crowds, bands and rain all cascaded into Lowther Deer Park for the 12th rendition of the magnificent Kendal Calling. Keeping with it’s seemingly unstoppable growth the festival continued to shine this year with bigger acts, bigger crowds and the same goodwill and organisation that is quickly becoming the trademark asset, it has become the perfect blend of… Keep Reading

Blink 182, Castlefield Bowl, Manchester

Blink 182 and Castlefield Bowl were an unlikely match thrown together by the tragic events of Monday the 22nd of May at the cities arena. Due to the arenas subsequent closure the stadium sized three piece left fans hanging as to whether there would be a gig in the city for several days causing intense worry, however they would eventually announce there would be a gig and Castlefield Bowl would… Keep Reading
