Teddy Rocks has announced their headline acts for 2019. The Darkness are Saturday’s headliners, while Sunday headliners are The Zutons.

Teddy Rocks Festival started in the modest surroundings a country pub.

The Greyhound in North Dorset was the first home of the festival, started 6 years ago. Founder, Tom Newton, wanted to help fundraise for the charity Teddy20. The charity was created by Tom’s parents to raise money for children and their families fighting cancer. The charity was started after the sad loss of his brother, Ted Newton. Ted was only 10 years old when he lost his life to a rare bone cancer.

In 2017 the festival took the plunge relocating to a bigger location and secured a permanent license. The new home at Charisworth Farm, in Blandford Forum, Dorset, meant Teddy Rocks could also offer weekend camping. In 2018 the festival raised over £83,000.00 and this years festival hopes to do even better. 2019’s Teddy Rocks will take place Friday 3 May – Sunday 5 May 2019.

Over its life time the festival has raised over £250,000.00. With help from past headliners including Twin Atlantic, Feeder and Don Broco. Next year will see the multiple award-winning, platinum-selling The Darkness bring their distinctive rock sound. We are sure, their set will include I Believe In A Thing Called Love. Plus returning from an 8-year hiatus The Zutons. The band’s seminal album Who Killed The Zutons, released in 2004, has sold over 600,000 copies (that’s Double Platinum) in the UK alone.

Teddy Rocks Organiser, Tom Newton talking about next year’s festival explained “This is our biggest line up yet. The Darkness and The Zutons have some of the biggest hits of our generation and being able to bring them to our small town is an honour. We are working harder than ever to keep growing the festival and to help make a positive impact on so many children’s lives affected by cancer. The more people that buy tickets for this event, the more good we can do for those who need it! Please come and join our fight and have the best time whilst doing so!”

The headliners are just the start with over 50 acts to be announced over the coming weeks. Plus an adult weekend ticket starts at just £59.40, Teddy Rocks 2019, represents great value for a great cause.
