Angsty Liverpool group Bad Mood are set to release their new single Ya Missed It on October 13th, following on from the success of the previous release ‘Grungeblues’.
The single is a fast, fresh and hooky and reflects the bands angular, unique style. Bad Mood have attracted rave reviews with Liverpool Etc describing them as a “four piece punk art riot” with their live shows being noted as “confrontational, aimed at making an impact and breaking down barriers rather than being just dance floor fodder” by Flick of the Finger.
The single release will be supported by hometown shows in Sound, Food and Drink on October 13th and at EBGB’s basement on November 4th.
Bad Mood’s sound is difficult to categorise but clear post punk influences can be heard in their songs and they have already attracted radio plays from EGH Radio, Chris Currie and Fab Radio International.
Bad Mood describe their single as being “a tongue in cheek take on the vapid commercialism and commodification of the modern world, hosted by a freakshow ringmaster and set to the tone of supercharged guitar, bass and drums’. A video release is also set to accompany the single Ya Missed It, featuring some of the freakshow attractions.
