Shader return in glorious fashion with their second single and it’s simply brilliant.
After whetting our appetites back in January with their first single, ‘Broken Minds’, the four-piece from Macclesfield have unleashed what is quite possibly one of the best track of 2018.
‘Streets Tell Stories’ possesses the quality of a seasoned band which wastes no time in embedding itself into your brain. It’s big, powerful and has a confident swagger that demands you get up get into the groove.
Stu Whiston’s vocals alongside Darren Edwards’ rolling bass fit like a glove and compliment each other perfectly. There’s a high level of maturity to the new single, from the happy-go-lucky guitar licks of Mike Lo Bosco to the groove-able drumming of Isaac Salisbury, all aided by some slick production work.
Despite the lyrical content having a subtle darkness about them, the music takes off with a sense of euphoria that is impossible not to succumb to.
As far as second singles go, ‘Streets Tell Stories’ is a powerhouse release. Top marks.
