The Pearl Harts have released new single ‘Different Kinda Girl’ ahead of their upcoming UK headline tour.

‘Different Kinda Girl’, the new cut from The Pearl Harts, is a sharp shot of garage rock adrenaline which nods to the riot grrrl movement and 90s girl power, lyrics that pay homage to Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ and that paraphrase suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst.

Combining The Pearl Harts’ trademark sound of riffing guitars, pounding drums and snarling vocals the band say “’Different Kinda Girl’ is a fun and outspoken song about stepping out and not being afraid to be different, having the confidence to stay true to yourself and beliefs even if you are being squashed down, even if you have to fight,…. asserting your personality and being proud to stand up for who you are.”

Produced by Thomas Mitchener, (Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes; Asylums) ‘Different Kinda Girl’ will be released on September 14th to coincide with band’s U.K. headline tour.

Following the release of debut album Glitter and Spit, the band attracted large audiences whilst touring across UK with the London date selling out, and they also earned a support slot with The Kills.
