The metal wonders taking the worls by storm make their debut in the Download Festival line up
Fresh off the back of a sold out Wembley Arena show, the “metal phenomenon on a mission” BABYMETAL are confirmed for their first main stage appearance at the mighty Download Festival. Download takes place on 10-12 June 2016 in Donington Park. Tickets are on sale now.
With their exhilarating and irresistible live shows that merge thunderous modern metal with infectious J-pop, one of the most talked about current acts BABYMETAL are quickly gaining global critical acclaim with their mission statement: to bring metal to the world.
Last year the Download crowd received a taster of what’s to come this June when BABYMETAL joined Dragonforce on stage for a surprise high-energy performance of Gimme Chocolate. This summer’s main stage performance marks the first time the band has played the festival under their own steam and it promises to be a mind-blowing live experience. BABYMETAL will play Friday 10 June on the main stage.

Download Festival is the home of rock and metal and takes place on the sacred grounds of Donington Park, which have been associated with rock since the 80s. The festival attracts icons of to its main stage, plus some of the best and hottest new acts in the world. AC/DC, KISS, Metallica, Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, Rage Against The Machine, Slipknot, Linkin Park and many more have all headlined its main stage.
Download Festival 2016 is headlined by Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden.
