After the much-anticipated announcement of headliners Pearl Jam, Mad Cool have today announced 31 new acts to their already star-studded 2018 line-up.
New acts include Franz Ferdinand, Tame Impala and Glass Animals, amongst many more…
Australian psych band Tame Impala will return to Madrid five years after their last visit to the city and the Scots Franz Ferdinand will pull out all the stops for their much-anticipated set.
Another great addition is Alice in Chains, the only other grunge act, along with Pearl Jam, who will offer a mind-blowing set at Mad Cool 2018 – their first concert in Spain since 2010.
‘Iberian product of prime importance’
Kase.O, one of the most important Spanish– speaking rap artists of our time, is the first of a group of national bands such as Maga, Modelo de Respuesta Polar and Guipuzkoa duo Niña Coyote eta Chico Tornado. We will also have Nuria Graham, Conttra and rrriot girls quintet Agoraphobia.
Indie, Lo- Fi and Global Pop
The outpour of confirmed bands include world renowned indie bands such as the Grammy-nominated Brtis Glass Animals and the North Americans Portugal The Man. Porches have also joined the line-up, along Frankie Cosmos, who will play their first ever show in Spain.
The French pop star Jain stands out as a new addition, as well as the Belgian indie rock band Bed Rugs and Haux, a project of an intriguing American musician half way between folk and electronica.
More Electronic Music
The next edition of Mad Cool 2018 reinforces the festival’s commitment to electronic music, with The Bloody Beetroots, the producer and dj Maya Jane Coles, electro pop’s pioneer Erol Alkan, the New York’s disco and house duo Sofi Tukker, Fatima Yamaha (pseudonym of the Belgian Bas Bron) and the French act Polo & Pan.
Rock for every taste
Rock n’ roll will continue to stand tall at Mad Cool 2018 with FIDLAR, Rival Sons the Icelandic Kaleo, The Last Internationale, the indie rock singer LP and the Australian group Gang of Youth.
Within the spectrum of root and American rock Mad Cool will have the presence of The White Buffalo and also for the first time in Spain – Hurray For The Riff Raff, Alynda Segarra’s project.
