The Wirral Festival 2017 Looking like its going to be a right good old knees up!
Chairman Mark Palios said: “We’re really excited about being able to bring three great days of music to the people of Wirral. There is nowhere else on the Wirral that could host an event like Wirral Live.

“This event could be huge for both Wirral and Tranmere Rovers Football Club. Given the small annual window due to pitch renovations in the closed season, it’s vitally important that we take this brief opportunity to turn the football stadium into a venue. It is part of the strategy to create non-matchday revenue at Prenton Park on more than just 23 days a year. Wirral Live is another step in the right direction following on from the refurbishment of our function rooms and the creation of the Futsal hub and revamped community centre.”
Wirral Live will take place on May 19, 20 and 21 2017, with announcements of confirmed acts to follow in the coming weeks together with details of how to purchase tickets.
Vice Chairman Nicola Palios continued: “We’ve been speaking to some big names over the last few months and can’t wait to announce who we’ve got lined up.
“Wirral has a big population of music lovers who have had to travel to Liverpool and Manchester for many years to see the best acts, so we’re looking forward to bringing them something special closer to home. But with the quality of acts we are expecting to announce we are confident that the concerts will attract people from further afield to the Wirral, which will be great for the local economy.”
Chief Operating Officer Peter Shaw added: “We’ve been planning Wirral Live since the summer and have consulted with our local residents, Wirral Council and other affected parties along the way.
“We hope the calibre of artists we are in discussions with will fill the stadium and that the 2017 Wirral Live will be just the first of many we run at Prenton Park.”
