Airbourne, Copenhell 2017

in Live by

Is it a bird, is it a plane no it’s Airbourne.

Where is Angus and Johnson?? I know they are hiding out back and it’s just a cover up…the resemblance is striking.

It’s not everyday you get compared to a titan like AC/DC, but it is meant as a compliment. Australian Airbourne formed by the brothers Joel & Ryan O’Keeffe in 2003, released the first EP “Ready To Rock” in 2004. They have been on the road since with bands such as Mötley Crüe, Motörhead, Rolling Stones and our very own Danish Volbeat.

The music works in a sense that speaks to your inner rock n roll demon and you want to grab a beer while you are at it.

Airbourne dedicated the song “It’s All for Rock ‘n’ Roll” as tribute to the late Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead, they are certainly doing what they can to keeping the “original” rock spirit alive.

If you were looking for some quiet time you definitely came to the wrong place.

This is the type of band that just makes you wanna drink beer, relax and party.

Simply a good counterweight to all the metalbands on Copenhell. The band didn’t score points for originality but certainly brought the party and the rock n roll to the dull gray concrete based Copenhell.
