The Mancunian quartet China Lane are pleased to announce that their new single they ‘In Motion’ is out now and available to stream off all major streaming services
In Motion will be the second single release from the electro-pop band after their hugely successful debut single ‘Marco Polo’ was released in 2016.
Marco Polo caught the attention of the likes of BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing, as well as Spotify, who added them to a major playlist in the autumn of 2016. The track gained recognition from the nation with some labelling it a “synth powered pop banger” and after only 4 months, had more than 122,000 plays online from many major music-streaming services.

Having started off as a duo at the start of 2016, (which featured vocalists Reuben Hester and Chloë Bebbington), the pair then later joined with guitarist and producer Jack Candela and synth bass player Danny Marland, to finalise the current line-up of China Lane. Creating a buzz up and down the country the band have been heavily compared to the likes of CHVRCHES and London Grammar.
2016 saw China Lane bag a spot supporting British synth legends, Heaven 17 as well as receiving an invite only offer to perform at the ‘Sofar Sessions’ in Manchester before finally performing their first headline show at Gulliver’s, Manchester, which sold out weeks in advance.
The band spent the majority of last summer busking extensively around Europe, playing acoustic versions of their music.
