Thirteen new bands have been added to the Coventry Godiva Festival 2016 weekend line up, which almost completes the musical line up for the festival.
The bands named are: Luna Kiss, Kiko Bun, The Prophets, Ravens, Ekkah, Idle Noise, April, Emma McGann, The Paradimes, The STRiKE, Cliff Hands, The Tuts and Sounds of the Sirens.
With the music line up for the weekend almost complete, festival organisers are confident that this year’s festival has secured a wide range of music with something for everyone.
David Nuttall, Head of Service for Sports, Culture, Destination and Business Relationships at Coventry City Council, said: “We’ve worked really hard this year to try and ensure that there’s a good range of music for everyone. We still have more to announce, including the line ups for the Rhythm and Rock Tents on Friday and Saturday, but we’ll be making sure we keep everyone up to date over the coming weeks!”
Last week saw the announcement that indie/rock band, Fronteers and reggae/dance band, Easy Star All-Stars, have joined the line up.
Godiva Festival also recently announced that Coventry band, The Ellipsis, will be opening Saturday’s Main Stage, with Nuneaton band, The Larrks, opening Saturday’s Rhythm Tent. The Subways, a rock back from Hertfordshire, were also added to Saturday night’s Main Stage line up.
Coventry Godiva Festival will take place on 1-3 July in the city’s War Memorial Park, and will feature a mix of live music, comedy, family entertainment, trade stalls and a fairground.
