Australian rock star Jon Stevens announces his brand-new UK single ‘Hold On’, out June 30th, taken from his upcoming album, ‘Starlight’ coming this September.
To celebrate Jon will also be heading to the UK to play five consecutive London shows, June 14-18th.
‘Hold On’ is classic powerhouse Jon Stevens – raw and powerful and capturing the spirit of overcoming hardship and struggle. And don’t miss the explosive new video, directed by Jesse Davey, shot in just one day in the Mojave Desert.
‘Hold On’ is the first taste of Jon’s new album, ‘Starlight,’ which sees Jon joins forces with legendary musician, songwriter and producer Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, who co-wrote and produced the album.
For his London shows, Jon has picked five very different venues across the capital, kicking off at the legendary 100 Club on June 14, Jon will then play Under The Bridge, 229 Club, The Borderline, and The Camden Assembly Hall. “I’ve always loved the UK and I can’t wait to come back to perform,” says Jon. “I wanted to cover as much of London as possible so what better way than to play a different show each night in a different area. Getting back on stage at 100 Club will be special. It’s been a home to many of rock’s greats and you really feel it in there.”
Jon Stevens is recognised as one of the most talented rock musicians to emerge from Australia in recent memory. He has had phenomenal success as a solo artist and as the lead singer of major rock acts Noiseworks, INXS (after the death of his friend Michael Hutchence), and the Dead Daisies.
Jon Stevens’ career has gone from strength-to-strength: a record-smashing debut at age 16 with two consecutive No. 1 singles in his New Zealand homeland, huge hits in Australia as lead singer with Noiseworks, a 21st-century liftoff to worldwide acclaim at centre stage with INXS, and the continuing success when Jon co-wrote ‘Lock n’ Load’ with legendary Slash. Jon produced the track in Australia for The Dead Daisies.
The new album ‘Starlight’ is out this September.
