Doves Announce Return For Live Dates Next Year

Doves are back

Doves, the much hailed band from Wilmslow, Cheshire, are set to return in 2019 for a string of live dates, it has been confirmed. 

The band – Jimi Goodwin, Jez Williams and Andy Williams – have been on hiatus since 2010, but today announced that they, plus support, would be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Friday 29th March, in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The band have also announced that they will be supporting Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on two dates. The first date is at Heaton Park, Manchester, on Friday 7th June, where they will also be joined by White Denim. The second date is Sunday 16th June at Malahide Castle in Dublin, Ireland. Blossoms and DMA’S will also be on the supporting bill.

Doves live dates for 2019:

Friday 29th March – Royal Albert Hall, London (in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust)
Friday 7th June – Heaton Park, Manchester (in support of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds)
Friday 16th June – Malahide Castle, Dublin, Ireland (in support of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds)

In the absence of Doves, singer Jimi Goodwin scored a hit solo record, Odludek, and the Williams brothers had set up a band called Black Rivers. A Twitter page was set up to encourage the band to get back together, and today, their prayers were answered.
