Long Island’s post-hardcore emo rockers Taking Back Sunday have announced a special series of live dates for 2019.
Adam Lazzara, John Nolan, Shaun Cooper, and Mark O’Connell (Taking Back Sunday) will spend a year celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band.
Time to get excited because those revelries includes seven U.K dates starting at Birmingham’s O2 Institute on 13th June 2018: tickets for all dates go on sale this Friday December 7th 2018 at 10am.
Alongside the anniversary tour, Taking Back Sunday are releasing a career-spanning compilation titled Twenty. The 21-song collection we be released via Craft Recordings on January 11, 2019 and incorporates tracks from all seven of their full-length albums, as well as two new songs. One of which All Ready To Go will be provided as download as an instant gratification track with pre-orders and you can enjoy instantly as they have made the track available on YouTube.
Singer Adam Lazzara speaking about the recording process for All Ready To Go said “This song is a great example of how in tune we have become with one another, our collective musical instincts. It was an idea Mark and Shaun laid the bones down for in New York and then sent them down to Charlotte, where John and I continued to arrange and add our individual contributions. This made for a great demo and a fair amount of time for everyone to sit with it before we all were able to get in the studio together and hash out the different parts and details with one another. It sounds like a lot when I say it like that, but the process itself was a cohesive and relatively quick one. Having the space to live and breathe with the idea before all coming together to shape it, and knowing where we can lean on one another as the song progresses is both insightful and exciting to all of us. It’s one of my favorite parts of being in Taking Back Sunday.”
