Tim Peaks Diner, Kendal Calling 2018

At Flick of the Finger, we love Kendal Calling. It’s one of our favourite festivals. Whilst the now familiar rain may dampen pretty much everything on and around us, the one thing it can never touch is our spirits. Set in picturesque countryside, with 11 stages, a quirky woodland area and enough fancy dress outfits to rival the fez-wearing shopkeeper in Mr Benn, there’s always one place in particular we… Keep Reading

The Charlatans – The Apollo, Manchester UK

From One to another, via Sproston Green, The charlatans are on the road, and FOTF caught the “home crowd” gig. You know you are in for something altogether special when The Charlatans play in your city. Tonight, was defiantly no exception. The Blinders, Rock City, Nottingham.

A cold bleak Wednesday and a long drive down to Nottingham, like the trips to lower division mid-week football fixtures I used to make many years ago Tonight however is definitely a winner as its the opening night of The Charlatans UK tour, but as great as the band are its the support act thats dragged me down to the East Midlands. The magnificent Blinders from Doncaster, fresh from touring… Keep Reading

The Blinders Support The Charlatans

Its been quite a year for The Blinders 2017.  They started they year with two sell out ‘Big in 2017 This Feeling’ events in Manchester. Followed by a headline tour, much of which was sold out in advance. Supports slots were played alongside Cabbage, The View, King Blues, The Shimmer Band, Idles and The Membranes. The summer saw many festival slots around the country, in fact The Blinders have been… Keep Reading

The Blinders Winter Tour Dates

Another one to watch out for in 2018 The reaction to The Blinders – on stage (just finished the ‘Healing Brexit Towns Experiment’ tour as main support to CABBAGE, with Queen Zee, and in the studio (Radio X session and interview for John Kennedy) – has been highly encouraging to put it mildly.  As words gets out, tickets stealthily sell for a band unknown outside word of mouth circles. The… Keep Reading

Pennfest, The Big Park, Penn, 21st and 22nd July

Venturing into the home counties for a Music festival is a new one for me. The Festival has been running for the last six years in the small village of Penn, Buckinghamshire, it draws on established acts as well as showcasing up and coming acts. This year saw an interesting line up with Primal Scream headlining on Friday night, with James close to the top Saturday Night. The festival had… Keep Reading

Courteeners, Charlatans, Blossoms & Cabbage, Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester

An all-star Manchester line up take to the stage at Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground. With a sell-out 50,000 crowd, four of Manchester’s hottest bands entertain a “united city” crowd who travelled far and wide to attend the gig of the year. With recent events terror events taking place just less than 7 days before, it’s only natural that security at such an event was stepped up. With armed police,… Keep Reading
