Now it’s time to sing some Hymns

New music is always important to us here at Flick Of The Finger. More important than ever, in fact. And we are very pleased to introduce to you, one of the up and coming bands, alternative rockers, Hymns.

If you’ve been around the London music scene, then you’ve probably heard the name of Hymns before. They formed in 2016, and consist of band members, Oliver Hooper on guitar and vocals, Amy Chapman on drums and Giorgio Compagnone on the drums. Basing their sound on the post-punk genre, Hymns have already had an E.P out in 2017 called, The London E.P., their debut release in fact.

That particular release concentrated on songs that told a story on living in the modern world and living the modern life. Taking the story forwards and a pure and honest insight is what you can expect from this band. This is reflected in the first of two songs I’ll treat you to, Let’s Take A Ride.

Hymns have done a couple of small support slots in the last year, they have also had some high profile gigs in 2017. Namely, a slot at the very popular Camden Rocks and they followed that up with an acclaimed show at Oxjam in Crystal Palace. But the reason you may be even more familiar with the band is their cover of the 1996 hit dance single by Olive, You’re Not Alone, which is the second song I’ll treat to you to.

The band are currently in the middle of recording a brand new E.P, and we at Flick Of The Finger will keep you up to date with that and the new releases that follow in the future thereafter. Hymns………remember the name. You’ll be singing their praises.
