Creeper has shared their new track Be My End alongside an accompanying animated video that cements the narrative for their sophomore album due next month.

The noir-style animated video depicts the tale of a star-crossed couple alongside the sinful townspeople who populate the fictional town of Calvary Falls.

Be My End is the latest release from, Sex, Death & The Infinite Void, the immensely anticipated new album due Friday 31 July. Creeper starting the tsunami of anticipation with the anthemic rush of Born Cold last year, followed by Annabelle, Cyanide and the heartbreakingly poignant All My Friends. As they always do, Creeper continues to present an increasingly ambitious spectrum of their often deeply poignant theatrical narratives.

Opening with a dramatic piano movement, Be My End hurls itself at you with swooning vocal harmonies that create an explosively dark, glamorously rich goth cinematic soundscape. Frontman Will Gould’s elegiac lyrics fables two lovers finding purpose within each other as the world falls around them with a jeopardy laden opening query “Would you be my Armageddon as we fall out of heaven?” The new video which was directed by Marco Pavone  (Disney, Universal, and Netflix) brings the shadowy gothic world of Creepers lastest dark romance to life.

Will Gould, talking about the latest release explains “Be My End is the opening song on our new album Sex, Death & The Infinite Void. Thematically it introduces the apocalyptic romance that the album deals in. The music video marks the first time the band have used animation to tell its story. Calvary Falls is realised in its full glory as our narrative hurtles towards its conclusion. This is the band in a way you’ve never seen it before.”

The follow-up to their debut album Eternity, In Your Arms, Sex, Death & The Infinite Void is as before a concept album this time loosely mirroring Gould’s life. Boy moves to a new city, goes off the rails, meets a new girl, falls in love and the world as they know it ends.
