Good, old fashioned, 3-minute rock n’ roll bangers…

Bands that are worth their salt have gone through the process of supporting others and have experienced the raw end of the deal on lighting, sound and half empty, sober crowds…

…But hey, that’s just how it is. However, there is a tipping point where it’s time to take that leap of faith and start touring/headlining your own shows. Well, It’s pretty much that tipping point now for Red Faces. There’s no secret to rock n’ roll, get on stage, look cool and have the 3 to 4-minute bangers to back it all up – Job done…. This is what these guys exceed at and it’s why I have high hopes for Red Faces. Check this track out and you’ll see what we’re talking about here…

I had the pleasure of catching up with the lads after their support show with the DMA’s (Manchester Ritz). We had a quick chat over a beer and discussed what’s old, whats new and whats coming…

Bands that are inspired by the likes of The Beatles, The Police, The Smiths, The Kinks, Blur, Oasis, Tame Impala… etc etc have great grounds to develop their own sounds on in my opinion… Many of you reading this would have heard or liked some of the bands just mentioned so it goes to stand that you’ll love these guys too.

Starting life as a covers band a couple of years back, covering ‘Sky Fall’ was quite a low point Isaac recalls ,however, now being signed to RCA and the members being able to dedicate their time to the band full time things have stepped up a notch and got a little more serious.

With studio time booked and enough original material to fill three albums; this Sheffield-based indie rock band have already played the likes of T in the Park, Y-Not and have sold out local 02 venues.

Catch them in a town near you or check out their facebook page for updates. I’m pretty sure this won’t be the last you hear about them from FOTF

The Red Faces are:
Harry Lyon (Vocals/Guitar)
Isaac White (Bass/ Backing Vocals)
Ryan Laycock (Guitar/Backing Vocals)
Charlie Yapp (Drums)
