Average bands sound like their heroes, good bands sound like other good bands and great bands sound like themselves. “Colour” are a great band.
Having burst on the scene last year with singles ‘Strangers’, ‘Nowhere’ and last month’s ‘KAFÉ’ EP, championed by BBC Introducing, Clash, Shortlist and The Daily Mirror amongst others, they are set to release their brand new EP ‘The Famous Boy Making Things’ in February 2017.
THE FAMOUS BOY MAKING THINGS EP
RELEASED 24TH FEB 2017
The EP was produced by Dan Swift (Kasabian, Snow Patrol) and was recorded at the band’s own Canvas Sound Studio on the northwest coast. Says Dan of the band: “Colour” work with the same degree of certainty and uniqueness that I encountered working with Matt Hales, Tom Odell and Gary Lightbody.
Always looking for a way to be relevant as well as exciting and fantastically melodic.”
A first taster from the EP in the form of ‘Slow’ can be heard now. Described by singer James Tidd as a song about “a guy sinking to a primal level of loneliness, getting rescued by a girl only to push her away.” The music mirrors the lyrics with a glitchy tension broken up by light before the whole track implodes.

Having wowed crowds earlier this year in London with gigs at ‘Gold Dust’ and ‘Birthdays’, as well as storming sets at the Great Escape Festival in Brighton and Kendal Calling, Colour will play their final headline show of the year at Manchester’s Night & Day Café on December 6th.
The band has also launched a PledgeMusic campaign where fans can Pre-order our new EP now and get exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes videos, photos and more.
