Flick of the Finger Is Growing And We Want You To Be A Part Of It!

Our writing team is at the core of FOTF and we’re looking to expand our team.

Since 2016, Flick of the Finger has covered some of the biggest bands in the world. From Metallica to Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen to Depeche Mode, Liam Gallagher, The Stone Roses, The Rolling Stones, Muse – in fact, we’ve covered well over 2000 live shows and festivals. We’re looking to grow the FOTF writing team to ensure we can keep covering as many shows as possible. From the rock ‘n’ roll stars we all know and love to the future rock ‘n’ rollers and emerging talent.

How It Works

We have a straight forward, tried and tested process: You’ll be added to the FOTF Team Calendar where you’ll be able to add all the shows you’d like cover – providing they’ve not already been requested. You’ll also be invited to join the FOTF Team Facebook group. If you have any questions, our team members are always happy to help or point you in the right direction.

Typically we cover most guitar based genres and music festivals up and down the UK, throughout Europe and we even have writers in the USA too, so there’s no anthesis on where you’re based. If you’re just looking to write music reviews – access to live venues really isn’t not important at all. The publication side of FOTF doesn’t produce any revenue so writers and contributors are unpaid unfortunately however, if going to gigs is a passion, and something you’re already doing regularly, then it could potentially save you a lot of money on tickets if nothing else – especially if festivals are your thing! More often than not, you’ll also be offered a plus one too, so you can take a friend.

Full training on WordPress will be given and how to format your posts along with tutorials and FOTF best practice. You’ll also be invited to the end of year FOTF Party too.

Does this sound like a bit of you? We’re reviewing applications now so pop your details below and we’ll be in touch soon!

Did You Know?

FOTF started life as a review site, however, over the past 3 years the FOTF brand has become so much more. As well as achieving over 2 million impressions in 2019, we now manage bands, launched FOTF Records & Distribution, promote and curate our own live shows, manage festival stages as well as help bands with their PR.

We’re always looking to grow in these areas so if any of the above is of interest or feel you can add value here too, then please let us know.
