Jamie Webster marks SOLD OUT UK & Ireland tour dates with new single

An acoustic Bluesy masterpiece

Fast-rising Liverpool-born and bred singer-songwriter, Jamie Webster returns with new single ‘Living For Yesterday‘. Recorded at Parr Street Studios and produced by Rich Turvey (Blossoms, Courteeners, Vistas), the track drops just in time for three completely sold-out dates in London, Liverpool and Dublin.

Following on from where November 2019’s iTunes Top Ten-charting single, ‘Weekend In Paradise’ left off, ‘Living For Yesterday’ is a song rooted in Webster’s own working class upbringing and personal experiences. The track opens to a barren soundscape where the working man stands alone, submerged in a system he does not fully understand. According to Jamie:

“Living For Yesterday is about people who feel that they have to play up to a crowd. The idea that because someone’s got a certain type of rig-out, they’re automatically socially accepted instead of actually acting like who they are as a person. Half the time it’s not true and half these people aren’t who they’re pretending to be. We shouldn’t be surprised or blame them, because they’re a product of their environment.”

Renowned for providing new soundtracks to Liverpool Football Club’s rising fortunes, playing to 60,000 fans attending the 2019 Champions League Final in Madrid and performing as far afield as Australia and Dubai, Living For Yesterday finds Webster moving into new territory as a popular songwriter, crossing regional and footballing divides to explore a broader musical landscape.

Webster and his established legion of fans develop an electric atmosphere together and it is that energetic camaraderie that is fast becoming his signature. In the week following the release of Living For Yesterday, Jamie heads out on a three-date tour, with all tickets sold out.
