Another stunning day in the sun as Sound City wrapped up for another year.
In the shadow’s of Liverpool’s stunning cathedral, the Baltic Triangle was the perfect place to host this incredible weekend of music.
A stunning mix of astonishing artists made the Sunday for Sound City a day to remember, and was a perfect end to a great weekend of music, art, poetry and fun. The main stage was bouncing all day, and every venue was busy from start to finish, especially Love Lane Brewery, which saw the likes of Our Fold, Louise Fazakerly (check her out, one of the best poets around at the moment), Mathilda, and the astonishing actor/musician Paddy Considine even dropped in for a quick interview with Trashed TV.
I didn’t catch as many bands today, but the likes of Clean Cut Kid, M.O.R.T, Wooze, and Jesse Jo Stark really blew me away. Their music is the sort that needs to be noticed, especially the likes of M.O.R.T and Wooze, two bands who may be doing something slightly different to everyone else, but judging by the crowds who went to see these bands in particular, they are doing something right, and people are noticing it.
This weekend showcased some of the best talent from around the world, in some of the most intimate venues imaginable, and it worked beautifully. Nothing but praise should be shown toward the people who have made this weekend happen, and if this year is anything to go by, then this festival is going to keep on growing, and keep going from strength to strength. The perfect weekend, perfect weather, surrounded by perfect music, what more could you ask for.
