A spectacular musictopia, 2000Trees Festival manages to combine affability, intimacy as well as high energy delights.

A golden highlight of the summer, 2019’s 2000Trees, will take place between 11th – 13th July.

Once again based at the delightful Upcote Farm, Gloucestershire. We’ve been excitedly eager for the first 2000Tress 2019 announcement and it is finally here.

2000Trees 2019 finds the multi-award-winning independent music festival bringing together some supreme rock and indie artists together. Adding the best of local food and drink for an incredible weekend among the charming Cotswold Hills. 200Trees Festival 2019 is such to make this summer one to remember.

2000Trees keeps attendance to approximately a 10,000-capacity creating an affable, comfortable and even enchanted atmosphere. This year, the festival’s 13th, will again open the main stage on Thursday night. Reinforcing the festival as a now annual three-day event.

So, let the jaw-dropping begin. First Surrey heavyweights, You Me At Six. “We’re really looking forward to headlining 2000trees Festival this summer.” said You Me At Six” We’ve heard many amazing things about the festival, in particular it’s unrivalled atmosphere and location. The line-up is always superb, so it’s going to be a pleasure to be a part of things this year. It’s going to be a special show.”

Next up Sheffield’s While She Sleeps, who will headline the Cave Stage on Thursday. On the verge of releasing their fourth album SO WHAT? on March 1st, front man Loz lets us in on what to expect “Last time we played the festival it was chaos. Expect nothing less this time around.”

Headlining the Axiom Stage on Saturday will be Frank Iero and the Future Violents. “I’m so excited to be playing 2000trees festival!” Iero said “I’ve heard so much about it from friends that played in the past, but I’ve never had the pleasure personally. I’m looking forward to making some memories of my own next year.”

Every Time I Die will be performing their album Hot Damn in full for the first time. “Hot Damn! has always been the one that put us on people’s radars and it was the one that was out the first time we came to the UK, so that’s a nice little throwback.” says singer Keith Buckley “When festivals are able to do something like this and get such a diverse line-up and secure a venue outdoors, it feels like something big. When you’re going to one of these as a fan of music and your whole surroundings feel so much larger than life it makes you want to enjoy the music. It makes you really open to hearing new bands. You’re going to need these festivals, whether it’s to feed a fanbase or to make one. So, I think it’s extremely important for the scene.”

As much as we like all those heavy hitters. We do like to look a little bit further down the line up for our jollies. Indoor Pet’s, Kent’s dirty moshy pop creators. The cathartically noisy post-punk of Heavy Lungs and the irresistible Loathe with their no holds barred progressive post-hardcore metalcore all captivate our eager eyes first.

The luxuries continue to spill from this first drop: Puppy, on the cusp of releasing their debut album, Goat on January 25th – pre-order available now kids! Groundculture will certainly bring a set full of stimulating melodic hardcore and time spent in the company of Nervus is never wasted.

Organiser James Scarlett has a lot to enthuse about this first announcement as he explains “With 33 bands announced today there is a lot I’m excited about. I’d definitely like to point people in the direction of my new favourite band Gouge Away – they are absolutely incredible. Also, a shout out is definitely needed for Every Time I Die who are playing their Hot Damn! album in full for the first (and probably only) time. As well as playing the album, they’re also going to smash us with some of their hits, so this will be a very special set for sure. And last but not least, Jamie Lenman has agreed to bring Lenmania to 2000trees and will be taking over the Axiom Stage all day on the Thursday with a selection of his favourite acts. In fact, he’ll be the very first act of the entire festival playing a special acoustic set and will also headline the stage with his full rock show. I can’t wait!”

The remaining first announcement includes: Therapy?, Jamie Lenman, Comeback Kid, Cavetown, Hands Like Houses, Milk Teeth, Martha, Muncie Girls, Single Mothers, MOL, Higher Power, Gouge Away, Orchards, Imperial Leisure, The Drew Thompson Foundation, Indigo Lo, Lice, Speilbergs, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam, Phoxjaw, Frauds, False Advertising. Don’t forget this is only the first wave of artists there are many more yet to be announced.
