“Wilder than a very wild thing marked wild in the wild shop in the middle of the wild wild wood.
An IDLES live show is not quite like anything that you have ever seen or heard. Its got all the ingredients taken from rock n roll’s rich history but the synthesis is entirely their own. The wild men of Bristol”. Tom Robinson BBC6 music
Bristol’s finest post-punk polemics IDLES are picking up a lot of attention recently – for all the right reasons. Announced by Reading and Leeds last night, they’ve also been handpicked by The Maccabees to support on their London farewell shows and today they have debuted the china-smashing treat that is the video to “Mother” at Loud & Quiet
They have also announced that they will be embarking on the massive 25 date ‘Brutalism UK Tour’ in March/April 2017. Politically charged, refreshingly confrontational and infectiously volatile, IDLES are a band like no other.
The release late last year of single “Well Done” saw the band rise to no.1 on Spotify’s Viral Charts & paired with intensive radio support from Huw Stephens, Annie Mac, Steve Lamacq and regular Radio 6 play, brought them to the forefront of ones to watch.
Their much anticipated debut album Brutalism out 10th March.
