Hell yeah! High Octane and smooth Hard Rock.

Back in May 2016, I had the pleasure of experiencing the quartet Black Oak County live at the Nordic Noise Festival, and now they’re back with new material, this time from their coming debut album.

Released on the metal label Mighty Music, who will also feature the video for this track on Wednesday on their YouTube channel, “Mad Dog” is high octane hard rock. Singer Niels Beier has an, if possible, even harder voice than when they performed at Nordic Noise. Excellent!!

My earlier photo here of Niels Beier pretty much sums up how this single sounds:

Black Oak County - Nordic Noise 2016-18

The guitars and bass are handled like precision tools, tight and crunchy with smooth hell-yeah-attitude! Drums are deep and fast, and the whole production is raw and raunchy, rips you a “new one”.

If you like 90’s hard rock, Black Stone Cherry, Shinedown, Pantera, Alter Bridge, Theory Of A Deadman, Black Oak County should be next on your playlist.

I’ve said it before: I want these guys on tour, on festivals, big venues. And their debut album? Definitely on my wish list!
I really can’t say anything bad about “Mad Dog” – it’s a mature and genuine hard rock track. Don’t miss it!

From Wednesday 10. August, you can check ‘em out on Spotify, iTunes & the video on YouTube. Until then, you can catch them in rotation on myRock Radio
