Air Drawn Dagger are a female fronted four-piece from Sheffield, who take their name from Lady Macbeth’s emotional outburst, and who create an eclectic mix of alt-rock, electronica, grunge and pop.
They began in 2014 when singer Maisie met bassist Lewis and they began writing songs after hours in her cake shop.

Early gigs as an acoustic duo playing in front of old punks at hardcore shows and more sedate audiences at tapas restaurants got them playing all over Yorkshire. Twice.
Their debut EP as Air Drawn Dagger received heavy support from BBC Introducing throughout the UK and the band gradually built an underground following through constant self-financed shows throughout the country. Their new release, Ours For The Taking … Theirs For The Breaking was recorded earlier this year in London, while the band lived in a hostel alongside a horde of German schoolchildren.
The EP follows a concept narrative as young characters find themselves in a dystopian town, attempting to escape the metaphorical hounds, beasts, and creatures that serve under an Orwellian government, constantly being stalked by a mystical premonition called The Banshee. Within this concept, the band deals with lyrical themes ranging from mental health, loss, romance, and spirituality. These are not your typical love songs.
Each of the three songs on the EP will be accompanied by a video. These will be released shortly.
Air Drawn Dagger will accompany the EP release with a number of UK shows, as follows, with further dates to be announced soon:
Air Drawn Dagger are:
Masie Manterfield – vocals + electronics
Sam Wagner – guitar + backing vocals
Lewis Budden – bass + backing vocals
Ross Dore – drums + percussion
