From its years as a joint venture with Sony, to its recent emergence as a maverick genius, Liverpool’s Deltasonic Records, with a roster of some of the best new bands around has become one of the most important independent labels in the UK.

Already boasting the likes of The Coral, The Zutons and The Vryll Society the label constantly strives to bring new talent to the fore and its two latest offerings are great additions to the Deltasonic catalogue.

First up is an EP from the electronic duo God On My Right who just happen to be brothers, Sean and Michael Hollywood. The pair have been around as God On My Right for just over a year and during that time they have built a reputation for some exciting, intense performances.

The EP “ Swallow” released on December 8th contains four tracks which vary between aggressive industrial metal and electro punk of Kneel Down to the more melodic poppy style with a dreamy vocal sound of Not So Young. Already the EP has attracted the interest of BBC Introducing and is getting regular play on Radio X’s John Kennedy show in the evenings.

You can catch the pair playing live during February and March.

Another interesting Deltasonic release this month is from TV ME who run very much on DIY basis to the extent that the video accompanying the single is filmed on an I Phone, that said, the single Space Geno / Melodica does boast Bill Ryder-Jones on the production credits.

TV ME are a Liverpool three piece led by Thomas McConnell (previously on Deltasonic as Tom Low) with assistance from Adam Dixon and Frankie Tibbles and

Space Geno is a bouncy piece of poppy electronica which perfectly matches the arty video of a childhood game which is truly mesmerising. Melodica is another catchy piece of electronica which at times is remeniscent of Syd Barrett post Pink Floyd and with echoes of early Hot Chip.

TV ME have a number of UK dates in December and early January.
