Glass Mountain make beautifully cinematic and passionate music filled with yearning and sorrow.

Taking their name from a David Hockney artwork, the quartet’s sound is drenched in visual allusion, marrying the size and the scope of Sigur Ros or The Cure to something more delicate and personal.

Reminiscent of the spirit of hip-hop where anything can – and should – be included, Glass Mountain draw influences from alt-rock, dream pop, post-rock, electronica and the theramin-tinged orchestral swells and surges of The Beach Boys. These songs are deeply personal with moments of heartfelt honesty; tear-soaked laments to coping with life in a turbulent and often confusing world.

Following their acclaimed debut Glacial EP, Glass Mountain release their anticipated follow up, the Wow & Flutter EP, on 2 February 2018 with Hide & Seek Records. The EP will be available on CD and digital, and in two limited edition vinyl formats as follows:

  • Wow & Flutter EP | Red or pink vinyl – includes two-sided art print; lyrics; CD copy of the EP; and download code.

Wow & Flutter EP | Super Deluxe Box Set – includes the EP on either translucent red or robot pink vinyl; CD copy of the EP; download code; issue 2 of Ghosts zine; 50ml Gin Flows

The video was made by the expert hands of long-time video collaborators Sodium, who completely left the band out of the creative process, delivering the finished product the night before it went live. To say the band clearly had faith is an understatement. And that faith, equally clearly, has been justified.

Hide & Seek Records have been avid fans of Glass Mountain since falling in love with their fragile yet gut-punching debut Glacial EP and are delighted to be joining forces with the band on a journey that, since forming less than two years ago, has already seen them support a diverse range of acts including Slotface, Elvis Depressedly, Embrace, The Golden Age Of TV and space-rock legends Hawkwind.
