Ruzz Guitar Blues Revue are a soul injected blues/R’n’B/rock’n’roll band hailing from Bristol UK and led by Gretsch endorsed guitarist Ruzz Guitar.

With 3 very well received studio albums to date and fans in the UK and USA, the premier collection ‘Live at The Louisiana’ is to be released February 10 2020 on all major platforms/CD and available for pre order here:

Ruzz says of the album “This is a snapshot into how far the band has come musically since its inception in 2014. Sometimes we play as a trio, but I’m at my most happiest with a brass section to get the audience swinging even more!”. There’s the new and the old with nods to history, “It includes 4 original songs from my previous studio releases mixed with 4 covers from such greats as Bill Doggett, Lloyd Price and Buddy Johnson (who are naturally credited on the album) that have inspired the direction I’ve chosen to follow. I like to look forward but you always have to tip your hat to those that inspire.” Speaking of his band, “Made up of some of the South West UK’s premier blues musicians who helped me to bring these songs up to another level which makes this my favourite release to date. With these guys playing and the mix of instrumentals and vocals, I think there’s something in it for everyone.”

After taking inspiration from many great guitarists such as Brian Setzer, Jimmie Vaughan and the late great BB King, Ruzz has developed what he has learnt into his own style which is quickly becoming recognised further afield. This has taken him from playing shows (opening forDr Feelgood, The Blockheads and K irk Fletcher) and festivals all over the UK to across the pond to the USA, including in 2019 being invited to showcase the Gretsch guitar range at the world’s largest music product event NAMM Annaheim, California.

The album was recorded live in September 2019 in front of a packed crowd at a historic home town venue, The Louisiana in Bristol UK. It was produced, mixed and mastered by Mat Sampson of Bink Bonk Studios, Bristol.

“I’m very excited for people to hear this and for playing even more shows throughout 2020 in the UK, Europe and I’m back over to the USA a couple of times including early in the year again. I love what I do and hope that people enjoy it too…” On that note, the across-the- globe highly respected blues guitarist Kirk Fletcher says of Ruzz; “He is a joy to see and keeps this beautiful roots music alive and well. ”
