The Band Have Also Announced Their Debut Album

They’re Scheduled To Tour With IDLES Across The US

Today, Brooklyn based alternative band Gustaf announced their upcoming debut album, and shared new single ‘Book’ along with an accompanying video. If you like Talking Heads and The Fall then Gustaf are definitely the band for you, and this new single is the perfect way to get hooked to the band before they embark on an extensive tour, including US dates supporting IDLES, as well as a run of UK dates where they will support Pillow Queens.

Known in Brooklyn for their energetic live performances, the band quickly made a name for themselves, despite having no recorded music online and having a very limited online presence. Reliant on word of mouth alone, the band have managed to support the likes of Beck, James Chance, Omni, and Tropical Fuck Storm. They also managed to have sell out shows when they first headlined gigs in LA at the later end of 2019.

The new single is accompanied by a video, which as you can see for yourself below, shows the energy that this band are said to have when performing live. It captures the essence of what the band are about, and is a brilliant watch.

Their debut album will release October 1st, and is fantastically titled, “Audio Drag For Ego Slobs’. The album will be released by Toronto based, Royal Mountain Records (Mac DeMarco, Alvvays). You can pre-order the album ahead of it’s release HERE. If you like what you hear from this new single, then you are sure to like the album, as it’s set to be more of the same! The album will also feature their only other release, ‘Mine’ which was released on 7-inch last year, and put them on the radar of NME, 6 Music and more.

The full track listing for the album is;

1. Mine
2. Book
3. Best Behavior
4. Dream
5. Liquid Frown
6. The Motions
7. Cruel
8. Dog
9. Package
10. Happy
