Bolton’s Jade Assembly, with their massive loyal following have been a fixture of the Manchester music scene since 2008.
Led by their charismatic front-man John (Foz) Foster with Gareth Smedley on guitar, Danny Hayes on bass and Andy Watson on drums, the band have produced a series of well received lyrically intelligent, pounding rock songs along with a classic anthem to Bolton Wanderers, Walking Down The Manny Road, which is guaranteed to cause mayhem when played at a packed out local gig!
Clint Boon has called them “the best guitar band since Kasabian” and anybody who has caught The Jade Assembly live would agree, as whether its a small club, a festival or a stadium gig the band always produce incendiary performances with plenty of crowd interaction.
November 6th sees the release of the bands latest single Got My Star, produced by the legendary Gavin Monaghan at Magic Garden Studio in Wolverhampton. Its a classic guitar driven song with a melodic twist and a classic hook of a chorus which once heard sticks in the head . Of all The Jade Assembly singles released this is the most immediately striking and it will sound brilliant on the radio if it gets the airplay it deserves.
To launch Got My Star the band are playing a gig in association with This Feeling at Jimmy’s in Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Saturday 4th November, so if you’re looking for fireworks then get down there for what will be a great live show.
A limited edition 7inch single of Got My Star is available to order now.
